CJH Track - Congratulations State Qualifiers and Third Place Sectional Champs!

The following athletes have qualified for the State Track Meet this weekend in East Peoria - Congratulations and great job to all who ran!
  • 8th grader Kelly Fletcher in the discus
  • 8th grader Zach Stordahl in the shot put and discus
  • 8th grader Lindsey Norberg in the 200 and long jump and broke a school record in the long jump
  • 8th grader Maggie Mason in the 800 and 1600 meter runs
  • 8th grader Gavin Lemke in the 1600 meter run and broke a school record
  • 8th grader Ryan Peters in the 800 meter run
  • 7th grader Ian Barnes in the 1600 meter run
  • 7th grader Jack Eggenberger in the 800 meter run
  • 7th grader Zack Petko in the discus
  • 7th grader Shawn Atwood in the long jump and 4x200 relay 
  • 4x200 relay with Ryan Weaver, Nate Jablonski, Tony LaMantia and Shawn Atwood.  The relay team broke their previous school record!

Welcome to Cary Junior High

Cary Junior High was established in 1969. Servicing 900 students in 6th to 8th grade, the school is highly supported by the Cary community. Year after year, the school is recognized for its academic achievements throughout McHenry County and collar county districts based on standardized testing results. We are proud of our students’ commitment to academics. 
Cary Junior High offers core classes in math, English language arts, science, and social sciences. Students are exposed to physical education and health on a daily basis throughout their junior high experience. “Specials” classes include 6th Grade seminar and 6th keyboarding/guided study hall, music and technology at 7th grade, art and Spanish at 8th grade, and band at all grade levels. Cary Junior High offers leveled math and language arts classes, as well as a gifted program where students are placed based on academic achievement. A wide variety of athletic, academic, and extra-curricular activities are available for students to further expand their interests and knowledge. Cary Junior High students will attend Cary-Grove High School.
