Join us in welcoming Dr. Sarah Cacciatore as D26's next Superintendent!
The D26 Board of Education is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Sarah Cacciatore as the next Superintendent of Schools, effective July 1, 2026,
Dr. Cacciatore currently serves as the Deputy Superintendent for Mundelein Elementary School District 75 and Mundelein High School District 120 in Mundelein, Illinois, where she has led initiatives in literacy improvement, staff development, leadership development, and teacher evaluation. With twenty-three years of experience in public education, Dr. Cacciatore is recognized for her focus on student growth, collaborative leadership, systems development, and a commitment to ensuring that every child thrives.
“I am honored to be selected as the next superintendent of Cary Community Consolidated School District 26,” said Dr. Cacciatore. “This district’s dedication to its students and community is evident, and I look forward to partnering with the Board, staff, and families to continue building on the district’s strengths and accomplishing the goals outlined in the Leadership Profile and the Strategic Plan.

During this year’s fall Scholastic Book Fair, the Deer Path PTO demonstrated extraordinary generosity by ensuring that every student who wanted a book received one, regardless of their ability to pay.
