Blended Preschool

About Blended Preschool

The focus of the District’s Blended Preschool Program is to provide a rich experiential learning environment that fosters skill development for preschool aged children in the following areas: concepts/literacy , language , motor  and social skills. Our curriculum follows the State’s Early Learning Standards and is appropriate to children’s age and developmental status.

Our staff consists of a teacher who is dually certified in special education and early childhood education and two certified paraprofessionals. Also available to the program are a speech/language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, social worker, nurse and school psychologist.

 
There are currently two sessions of preschool available; a morning session (8:45-11:20) for 3 year olds and an afternoon session (12:25-3:00) for 4 year olds. Each session is approximately 2.5 hours long. Children can attend a three or four day a week program   Monthly tuition for the three day program (Monday-Wednesday) is $165.00 and the four day program (Monday-Thursday) is $190.00. Tuition is due on the first of every month and can be paid on line through the District’s website. Each class is comprised of students from the District’s Early Childhood Special Education Program and typically developing peers who reside in the community. The preschool program is housed at Deer Path School which is located at 2211 Crystal Lake Rd.  All students upon entering the Blended Preschool Program will be required to have a Physical exam and show proof of required immunizations. This is in accordance with the State of Illinois requirements.

Blended Preschool Registration

Registration for District 26 Blended Preschool Program for the 2012 school year will be offered on January 18th from
4:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Three Oaks School.  The Blended Preschool Program offers sessions that are two and a half hours long and are either three or four days per week.  There currently are limited openings for the Three year old and Four year old classes. Students must be 3 years and or 4 years by September 1, 2012 to register.  Please call Tamara Spoor at 847-516-6350,  if you have any questions. 

 

NOTE:  If you were unable to attend the Registration held on January 18th, you can still drop off your completed form to Cary District 26 Administration Center, 2115 Crystal Lake Road, Attn: Michelle Christakes.

Cary District 26 Blended Preschool Program Available to Surrounding Communities

Cary Community Consolidated School District is pleased to announce that the District 26 Blended Preschool program at Deer Path School is now available for residents of Cary and surrounding communities for the 2013-14 school year. This successful, inclusive preschool program is now entering its fifth year. 

Two sessions (a.m. and p.m.) are currently being offered.  The goal of the preschool is to provide students with a positive, nurturing environment that fosters social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth and development.  The staff consists of a teacher, who is certified in early childhood education and special education and two paraprofessionals. In additional, specialist teachers provide a host of enriching experiences for students, such as motor groups and language-development activities. 

The sessions (both a.m. and p.m.) will be 2.5 hours per day and will be either three days per week (Monday-Wednesday) or 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday).  The morning session is generally for 3-4 year olds and the afternoon session is generally for 4-5 year olds who will miss the kindergarten cut off date.  The program includes a blend of students from Cary and surrounding communities as well as students in the District 26 Early Childhood Education Program.  The fee for the program is $165.00/month (for 3 days per week) or $190.00/month (for 4 days per week) and is payable the first of every month.
